We love working with awesome companies. One thing we don't get much of but wish we did is men products. Aron's loves helping with those. We just had the opportunity to work with Men's Soap Company on a review of their Shaving Soap. They also have razors, razor blades, and razor and brush stands. It's awesome man stuff!!
We got the Himalaya All Natural Shaving Soap. What it is, is a tub of soap. Plain and simple, it has a screw on lid that is easy to open and handle. I love the bowl idea because it's not just a bar of soap sitting on the countre drying out and leaving a slime ring on my sink. In case you were ever wondering, I don't prefer bar soap. Bar soap has to be really amazing to impress me.
Just so you know, Aron has always been partial to a shaving gel for a few different reasons. The lather, the convenience of the can, the different formulas for his sensitive skin, and so on. He didn't go in thinking it wouldn't be great but he was skeptical and I had to talk him into it.
At first glance, he was a little confused. I know it's simple and shouldn't be confused but, the product claims to lather but it's a solid, how does that work? He was expecting soap bubbles at best. Man, he was wrong.
Opening it up, it's a solid soap in a bowl. It's easy to manage and store. Himalaya All Natural Shaving Soap smells so good. That's important for both of us. He likes to smell clean and refreshed and I like him to smell masculine and not like a sweet smell. Personally, I don't like my scent to be in competition with his.
As far as using it, all he had to do was get his hand damp rub the bowl and rub his face. There is no pump or anything extra, it's simple and to the point. It's really cool. This solid bowl of man soap lathers! Seriously, it lathers!! I was so impressed. I talked him into letting me video it for you guys. I love it when I get to show you first hand how a product works.
What makes this soap so awesome is the awesome but simple ingredients. The proof is in the shave. Aron's face was so smooth after her was done shaving. His skin was soft and he didn't have an overpowering perfumey scent. We are both so impressed!

I really like that it's in a tin. It would be perfect for travel.
