Keep Yourself Safe With Mace Brand Pepper Spray

Do you ever think of your own personal safety? Do you carry anything on you to protect yourself if you are being threatened in any way? I am a big fan of personal safety devices that will help s buy a little time to get into a safety zone or time to get away from the current situation. To be honest, I watch the news every day. I'm not of those people that are scared to leave my home but I do want to be safe while I am out. Thanks to Mace Brand Pepper Spray Keyguard Carabiner, I have something cool to show you!!

Simple and easy devices area must. When you are in a situation that you feel threatened, you want to be able to get to your defenses quickly right?  I know I do. I hope you like the ideas I have come up with to help keep you safe.

Keep your keys close.

This is something that I always do. I have gotten myself into the habit of having my keys out when I walk from a building to my vehicle. For me, that means that I can get into my vehicle faster. I do have a clicker on my keys that unlock my doors so I can get in pretty quickly.

I have Mace on my keyring. The reassurance I have knowing my Mace is in my hand makes me confident even when I'm alone. The handheld container is easy to hold and is preloaded with up to 6 bursts of pepper spray and sprays up to 5 feet distance.

The features on this container awe so awesome. There is an orientation tab and a white dot so you can feel and see the proper orientation of the container. That means a faster reaction time. The compact design makes for easy storage and it comes with a key ring for even more convenience.

Walk in well-lit areas.

When you are shopping or our running errands, try to park in a well-lit area. I at all possible try to go during daytime business hours. That doesn't automatically mean you will be safe, always have your self-defense ready, just in case.

Dress Appropriately.

I am by no means saying that suggestively dressed women are asking for any trouble or that fully covered women are safe. What I am saying, if you are going to be out by yourself you should consider wearing shoes that you can move quickly or run in. Why I say that is, I love shoes. I have even worn high heels to waitress in my 20's. BUT If I had to run, I'm not sure how long I could do it successfully. I will wipe out.

Accessories like scarves are easily grabbed and used a leverage. The baggier your clothing fits, the slower you will be able to run but also super tight clothing can also limit your movement. Trust your fashion sense and wear something you look fabulous and feel comfortable in while making sure that it is something you can move quickly in if you need to.

Pay attention to your surroundings.

When you go out try to stay clear of areas with hiding places. I get nervous in shadowy places. Maybe I have watched too many jump movies but, I don't want to be grabbed and dragged away.

Not just that, by paying attention you might be able to hear or see a potential threat coming.

If at all possible, travel with friends

People in groups are targeted less. If you have someone with you, you can keep your eyes on each other. Safety in numbers" is what I was always taught.

Always trust your instinct

Always trust your instinct, that little voice of reason we all have. If you feel like something feels wrong, tell someone. If you don't have someone that can walk with you, call someone. When you are shopping, there are always people that can walk you to your vehicle. Don't let your pride get in the way.

There have been several times that I didn't feel comfortable in a situation so I would call a trusted person, usually my mom, and let her know exactly where I am. When they know exactly where I am, I walk to my vehicle. Even if my safe person was 750 miles away, if anything happened to me, someone would know exactly where I was when it happened.

There are so many more ways to keep yourself safe. Make sure you know your options and chose the one that best suits your needs and ability. That's why I love the Mace Brand Pepper Spray.
