Here we are at the turning point of the year. We had a glorious 3 days of fall and we were thrown headfirst into allergy season. Anyone like me knows that this time of year brings in a whole new level of seasonal allergies.

The worse part of the weather turning unexpectedly is the coughs and colds. The kind of cold that makes you question if it’s a cold, sinus infection, or allergies. Since I have seasonal allergies, like every season allergies, it’s even more frustrating. I spend a week or more treating symptoms that I don’t know what they are from.

My poor little niece has had the same great luck as I do. This past week she started feeling bad but it seemed like a seasonal thing for the first few days so it wasn't that big of a deal. A little dry scratchy throat, watery eyes, a little cough or sneeze here and there, nothing major. Then out of nowhere, the poor baby woke up today with a rash all over. Time for a doctor!

Then comes in the question emergency room or regular doctor? This is where the doctor-mom comes in. My sister is awesome at knowing what's going on with the kiddos. It wasn't an emergency, she is breathing fine, her activity is normal, everything is ok except the rash and occasional coughs. I told her about AmWell and she chose that over the other options.
