2 Amazing Gift Ideas for an Amazing 10 Year Old

When it comes to birthday parties, I love being the awesome gift giver. I really do take pride in that. I might not have the most expensive gift but I really do aim for the most well thought gift.

We are coming up on my nieces birthday. She is going to be 10. That is such a magical age. That means 2 WHOLE HANDS.

No more baby stuff for this kid, she is a big girl now. At the same time, she is not all the way big. Cassie is 10 so I already know, there is quite a big line between being an awkward big little girl to being an actual big big girl.

This is what I have experienced with Cass being 10. She loves shoes but, not coordinated enough for the high heeled boots she wants. She loves awesome fashion but is not big enough, in my opinion, to dress like the kids on the TV shows.

She LOVES LOVES LOVES arts, crafts, and hands on stuff and is FINALLY big enough to work the cool stuff without 100% help and guidance. I love it. I can let her take the stuff in her room and know she won't be screaming in 5 minutes that she accidentally cut her hair or glued her hand to fer face. Yes actual events.

So with my awesome niece Lexi who is now earning that walk across the bridge from baby to almost big girl, I think I have picked out some really awesome stuff.

For starters, the colors. Not crayons or washable markers, nope she's too big for that. An awesome set of US Art Supply 50 Piece Colored Pencil Set. These are all pre-sharpened and ready to use. Because of the case they came in, they are ready to use at home or on the go. It's clear plastic and has a built in handle. The tabs that go into each other, keep it shut so there is no spillage.

So, what to go with such an awesome set of pencils? Not the cartoony coloring books that she is used to- No Way. She is big now. She still loves the cartoon pictures and probably will for a long time, I hope she does anyway. I just want her to know that she has even more potential artistically.

That being said wait til you get a load of this...

The Amazing World of Horses Coloring Book. This is an adult coloring book. It doesn't have bad graphics or adult rated pictures, just for those of you that don't know. These are pictures that have smaller more intricate designs.

These are the pictures for the more "in control" hand. She can decide what colors to put where and really make it as beautiful as she wants. I am so excited for her to open it up. I know she will love it as much as I think she will.

Her mom, aunts and grama all ride horses. She has been raised around them her whole life. This is the perfect book for her.
