Help your roosters gather corn in this high low game of fowl fun! Rooster Race™ is a fun simple card game that suits all ages, from kids, teens, college students, parents, and grandparents. If you can count to 15, you can play Rooster Race™. The object of the game is to make educated guesses; to predict if the value of the top card in your card stack is higher or lower than the last card played by your opponent. If you have ever played war or blackjack, Rooster Race™ will be your next card game favorite for family game night! Awarded 2017 Seal of Excellence by Creative Child Magazine.

What comes in the box?

Everything you need to play the game comes in the box. It's all conveniently sectioned so the pieces don't get mixed up meaning the next time we play it, it will be just as easy as the first time to set it up. I'm going to say this every time, Thank you to RoosterFin for packaging the pieces in zippered bags. This makes picking up and storage a breeze. One of my pet peeves is stepping on game pieces that were left behind.

Contents:
72 Rooster Cards
15 Corn Pieces
Simple Instructions

Set up

The Rooster Race is so easy to set up. It' can be a single player game or a multiplayer game, up to 5 players.
Put all of the corn in the center of the playing area and flip one card. That will be your first chance to beat the high or low.
Shuffle all of the cards and deal out 14 cards to each player. Do not look at these cards.
Set aside all of the extra cards.
Now that all of that is done, it's time to play.

Playing the game

This game is so easy. If you can count to 15, you can play. The age recommendation for this game is 5+. You know your kids, make sure they are at the right maturity to play this game. Some kids get frustrated easily with numbers especially when going up or down rapidly. I think this is a great way for kids to understand those sequences and doing it in a fun way.

Starting youngest to oldest, the player makes a guess of higher or lower then flips to see if they are right. If the player is right, they get a piece of corn. If they are wrong, the player puts a corn back into the pile. If a player is wrong and doesn't have a piece of corn to put back, nothing is done and it's the next players turn.

The game ends by all of the pieces of corn being dispersed. The player with the most corn wins that game.

A full round of the RoosterFin Rooster Race can be played in less than 5 minutes. It's long enough to play and have fun but short enough to not get bored or burned out.

So Awesome, Thanks RoosterFin!!

I don't know if this was meant to be an educational game but in my inner parent/auntie loves this game because when I was little I had a rough time with numbers and someone gave me a deck of cards. It changed me. If I wasn't shuffling I was sorting or torturing my sisters by playing with me.

After mastering the 52 Card Pick Up (thanks, dad), I learned how to play war. Then other quick games like 21, 31, Baseball, and rummy. My number recognition and adding skills changed so fast. So, RoosterFin, again, I thank you for making these options in games for kids. These games are fun. I am 37 years old and I have fun playing them along with my kids.

I don't get that dreaded moment of despair every time the kids go grab a game off of the shelf now.

If you are looking for a fun game that the whole family will love, check out RoosterFin's Rooster Race. They offer so many other kid-friendly, family friendly, games that you will want to play.
